Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted in 1984.

The arms show a boat, indicating the former importance of fishing in Lake Geneva for the village. The other symbols in the lower half are taken from the arms of the Grans St. Bernhard Abbey, to which the local priory belonged. The chief shows the arms of Savoy.
