Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on December 27, 1979.

The arms combine (elements from) the arms of the two main families to whom the village historically belonged. The main shield shows the arms of the Counts of Preysing 1644a.wsa.jpg, who ruled the village from 1585-1614. The diamond in the upper half is taken from their predecessors, the Lords of Kuttenau, who ruled from 1544-1585.
