The estate covered the area of the former municipalities of Etikhove, Maarke-Kerkem and Nukerke. Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on March 10, 1987
The arms are those of Jozef Thadeu de Bylandt, the last Lord of the Land tussen Maarke en Ronne estate in the 18th century.
