Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on Januart 2, 1935 and are based on the arms of the family Letmathe.

The family lived in the local castle and became extinct in the 15th century. The arms are known since the 14th century. The ermine tails are canting in the local dialect (Külinge) for the family who used Külng as a nickname. The origin thereof is not known.
