Wappen von Leipheim/Arms (crest) of Leipheim
Official blazon
German In Blau ein mit drei sechsstrahligen roten Sternen belegter goldener Schrägbalken

Origin/meaning

The arms first appear in the seals of the mid 14th century. The arms are most likely derived from the arms of the Güss von Güssenberg family, who owned the village from the end of the 13th century, and who arranged the granting of the city rights in 1330 from Ludwig of Bayern. The oldest seal, however, showed only one star, to distinguish the arms from those of the family. Only in the 19th century the two other stars were added.
