Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on 1957

The upper half of the arms shows a ball, which is derived from the arms of the Lords of Freyberg, who ruled the village and estate of Leeder in the 15th century. The lower half shows a rose on a mountain top, derived from the arms of the Rehlinger family, who acquired the estate in 1508.

The wavy bend is a canting symbol, the name is derived from Lede, a type of canal or artificial waterway.
