The two ducks and the silver bend can be seen as canting elements (Lauterach or duck-stream). But the arms are taken from the arms of the local Vonach family, which played an important role in the local history in the 18th century. Their arms can be seen on different places in the municipality. The arms of the municipality were, however, changed in colours to distinguish the arms from the family arms. | |||

Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on April 3, 1929. The original grant shows a golden bordure, which is no longer used.
The two ducks and the silver bend can be seen as canting elements (Lauterach or duck-stream).
