LÖBAU (LÖB)
State : Sachsen
Incorporated into : 1994 Löbau-Zittau (2008 Görlitz)
German | blazon wanted |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The district adopted arms in 1948, showing a weaver shuttle and wheat ears, symbols for industry and agriculture. Unfortunately I have no image of these.
The arms were abolished in 1952.
In 1992 the district adopted the above arms, which are a combination of the unique iron tower on the Löbauer Berg and the source of the river Spree.
