German In Grün ein schmaler schrägrechter silberner Keil, unten eine silbern bewehrte hersehende goldene Schleiereule, oben ein dreiblütiges silbernes Pfaffenhütchen mit roten Blütenansätzen.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on January 27, 2003.

The green shield symbolises the nature and green fields in the municipality. The silver point symbolises the historical salt trading road that went trough the municipality, now known as the "Krüzener Steindamm". The flower in the upper part are flowers of the European spindle (Euonymus europaeus), a protected species, which can still be found in the municipality. The lower part shows a barn owl (Tyto alba), which can also still be found in the municipality.
