Origin/meaning

Probably at the beginning of the 12th century the mining village of Tri Lipy (Three Linden-Trees) originated next to the tin-ore mine in the neighborhood of the Slavkov Forest.

In 1192 the owners of this estate promoted it to a Town, and changed its name to Schönfeld (Beautiful Field). This name was changed again after the Second World War to Krásno (Beauty). In the 16th century the town became a Royal possession and on September 1, 1547 King Ferdinand I bestowed on it the title of a Royal Mining Town.

I have no information on the meaning of the upper half. The lower half shows symbols for mining and agriculture.
