Kolari Kuntavaakuna / Kommunvapen

Official blazon

Kilpi alaisen harjakoron jakama hopeiseen ja mustaan kenttään; yläkentässä viisi nousevaa punaista tulikielekettä vieretysten.

The arms were officially granted on December 10, 1951.

The arms show a coal (Kol) fire as a canting element. In the 17th century coal mining started here, which is symbolised by the black mountain.
