In Blau aufrecht nebeneinander und silbern eine Garnnadel (Knüttespun), ein Bindestock mit der Spitze nach unten und ein mit dem Bart nach außen gekehrter Schlüssel.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on November 5, 2004.

The arms are based on the oldest known seal of the city, dating from 1574. The arms show some tools, which probably indicate the local industries at the time.
