Vihreässä kentässä aaltokoroinen hopeapieli ja kolme hopeista, punavaruksista, uivaa siikaa alatusten.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on January 28, 1956.

The arms show the Torne river, which is the Western border of the municipality as well as the border with Sweden. The three fish are whitefish and are a symbol for the importance of fishing for the municipality.
