Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on January 8, 1968.

The arms show a medieval imperial crown and refer to the imperial manor near Karsbach in the 9th and 10th century. The wavy bar refers to the -Bach (stream) part of the name. The flax flowers refer to the formerly important linen manufacturing.
