District : Kitzbühel

Kossen.jpg

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on October 17, 1957.

The two waterlily leaves are derived from the arms of the Frauenchiemsee Convent, which owned a large part of the municipality for a long time. The area around Kössen was one of the first possessions of the convent in early medieval times.
