Hopeisessa kentässä sininen aaltokoroinen paalu, jossa kultainen tervatynnyri.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 8, 1968.

The arms show a tar barrel, as tar making was one of the main economic activities for the region for many centuries. The wavy pale is canting, salmen means waves.
