I rødt fire gull kroner, 1-1-1-1.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on May 24, 1985.

The four crowns are a symbol for the four Norwegian Kings who lived in the municipality in the 9th-11th century : Halvdan Svarte (the black), Sigurd Syr (the sour), St. Olav Haraldsson and Harald Hardråde (the strong).
