Wappen von Hellingen/Arms (crest) of Hellingen
Official blazon
German

In Gold eine schräg gelegte schwarze Schöpfbutte, schräglinks überkreuzt von einer zweizinkigen schwarzen Hacke; darunter ein silbern-rot gevierter Turm mit runder Kuppel.

English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on May 18, 1992.

The two tools are derived from a decoration on the local church. The image showed a kind of rake and an unidentified tool. The unidentified tool was replaced by a brew-bucket, a tool used during beer brewing, and symbolises the right to brew beer that was granted to the village in 1714. The tower symbolises the tower of the local estate, which has been coloured according to the arms of the Lords of Schott von Schottenstein, who owned the estate for many centuries.
