Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on September 10, 1993.

Heilenbach belonged for nearly 1000 years to the Prüm abbey. The crosier is a symbol for the abbey. The key is the symbol of St. Peter, the patron saint of the local church, which is shown in the center of the shield.

Literature : Wappenbuch der Verbandsgemeinde Bitburg-Land 1995.
