D'azur à un St Pierre tenant dans sa main dextre deux clef en dans la senestre sa crosse de pape. A dextre ès en chef d'un soleil, le tout d'or.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on July 26, 1859.

The arms show the local patron saint, St. Peter. The saint already appeared on the seals of the local council in the 14th century. The colours were chosen arbitrarily.
