Origin/meaning
The arms were adopted on December 5, 1958.
The first two quarters show the former lords of the village; the Cathedral Chapter of Metz (I) and the Counts of Luxembourg (II). The third quarter shows the Moselle river and the tower of Hagondange castle. The fourth quarter refers to the Roman inhabitation of the are and shows the Roman road from Trier to yon as well as horseshoes for the Roman smithies.
