Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on April 14, 1986.

The chief symbolises the many centuries that the village belonged to the Neuerburg Estate (Burg = castle). The oak leaves in the lower part of the shield are a symbol for the many forests in the area.

Literature : Wappenbuch der Verbandsgemeinde Bitburg-Land 1995.
