Origin/meaning

The arms are already known since the early 15^th century. The oldest document with the seal dates from 1459, but the small shield shows the arms of the Lords of Falkenstein-Münzenberg, who owned the village before 1418. The colours are known since the 17^th century. The origin of the tree is not known.
