Origin/meaning
The arms were proposed for the former village in 1956.
The proposal is based on the seal of the village, known from 1755. The seal shows the large arms of the County of Hanau, to which the village belonged since 1478. Like other village seals in Hanau, a small inescutcheon showed the village symbol, for Ginnheim a horseshoe. The proposal is a simplified version of these arms, with the chevrons of Hanau and the horseshoe.
