Official blazon

In Rot drei gekürzte silberne Spitzen.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 24, 1949.

Gerolzhofen became a city in the early 14th century. The oldest seal dates from 1359 and already shows the above arms. The arms are the historical arms for the State of Würzburg and are known as the Franconian Points (Fränkische Rechen). All later seals and images show the same arms. Only the colours were changed to silver and blue from 1819-1949, the colours of Bayern.
