Origin/meaning

The arms were registered on ?

The town is an important spa town, with the red eagle with the aesculapius referring to Dr. Adler (Adler=eagle in German), who founded the spa. The red rooster is the canting element for Henry Rottenhanna, who played a role in teh development of the spa.

The healing waters itself are symbolised with the water courses (wavy bends), including the Ohře river (main bend).
