FILZBACH

Canton : Glarus
Incorporated into : 2011 Glarus-Nord

Wappen von Filzbach/Arms (crest) of Filzbach

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 7, 1939.

The two wavy bends symbolise the valley as well as the streams in the municipality. They also form the letter V, which is the initial of the oldest name of the village, Vilentspach (14th century).
