Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on January 22, 1930.
The arms are those of the Estate of Montfort-Feldkirch which has been used since the 13th century. It has been used as one of the arms of the city of Feldkirch since the 16th century. The other arms used by the city at the same time showed a church and a tower, with on the tower the arms of Montfort-Feldkirch. Only in the 19th century the city used the present arms as the main arms.
