Origin/meaning

The village historically never had it's own seal or arms. The above arms were proposed in 1996 and are based on the arms of the Muyssart family, who ruled the village in the 16th and 17th century. The family arms showed three shells on a blue field. To symbolise the agricultural character the shells were replaced by the garbs.
