Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on September 24, 1964.

The village belonged for more than 500 years to the diocese of Metz and the Counry of Lorraine, which is symbolised by the cross of the diocese in the lower half of the arms and the arms of Lorraine in the upper half.
