German heraldry:

Selected collector's items from Germany:

EISINGEN (UNTERFRANKEN)

State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Würzburg

Wappen von Eisingen (Unterfranken)

Official blazon

In Rot der widersehende nimbierte silberne Johannesadler in Seitenansicht, dem auf der Brust ein blaues Schildchen, darin eine silberne heraldische Lilie, aufgelegt ist.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted in 1963.

The arms show elements for the two monasteries in Würzburg which had possessions in the area; the eagle is the symbol of St. John, the patron saint from the St. Johannes monastery, and the small shield is the arms of the St. Burkard abbey.
