DOMPIERRE-LES-TILLEULS

Département : Doubs

Armoiries de Dompierre-les-Tilleuls

Official blason

Parti de gueules et d’or en feuille de tilleul, le 1er chargé d’une clef d’or.

Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted in 1996.

The arms are canting, showing the key of St. Peter (Pierre) and a division line of linden leaves (tilleul=linden).

The key, at the same time, refers to the historical (10th century) church and the historical dependency of the village to the Agaune abbey and Romainmôtier monastery.
