BRON

Département : Métropole de Lyon (until 2015 Rhône)

Blason de Bron/Arms (crest) of Bron
Official blazon
French D'or à la fasce de gueules, sommée d'un lion issant de sable et soutenue d'un dauphin d'azur.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted in 1971 and are based on the arms of the 13th century Lords of Bron. The heraldic dolphin was added to the arms to indicate that until 1852 the municipality belonged to the Dauphiné region.
