BREGENSTEDT

State : Sachsen-Anhalt
District (Kreis) : Börde
Incorporated into: 2009 Erxleben

Wappen von Bregenstedt/Arms (crest) of Bregenstedt
Official blazon
German

Gespalten; vorn in Silber ein roter goldenbewehrter Adler am Spalt, hinten drei grüne Ähren nebeneinander.

English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on September 11, 1996.

The arms indicate that the municipality was situated in the two historical regions Altmark and Börde. The eagle is the symbol for the Altmark. The rye ears are taken from the old seal of the village, which showed a savage holding several stalks of rye.
