Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on July 31, 1969.
The silver bend symbolises the medieval Via Regia, a main road between Rendsburg, Neumünster to Hamburg. The road passed closely to the village, which had a large influence on the development of the village. On the other hand, the village was plundered twice by armies travelling on the same road during the 30-years war. Since 1737 nine brick and tile factories have been established in the village, which is symbolised by the nine bricks in the arms. The beech leaves symbolise the forests on the Boostedter hills.
