German heraldry:

Selected collector's items from Germany:

BONAFORTH

State : Niedersachsen
District (Kreis) : Göttingen (until 1973 Münden)
Incorporated into : 1974 Hann. Münden

Wappen von Bonaforth

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms show the wooden tower of the former cellulose factory (destroyed in the 1990s), which for a long time was a landmark of the town and the factory itself was important for the local economy. The other tower represents the former castle of the knights, who in medieval times were considered warlords or independent free knights (Raubritter). The base shows the Fulda river, which flows through the town.
