Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on September 3, 1984.

The village was ruled until the end of the 18th century by the Bishops of Speyer, which are represented by the cross of the State of Speyer. The local Weissenburg Abbey also owned many possessions in the village and is symbolized by the crosier. The point refers to the many forests in the municipality and the Lauter river.
