BLUDOV

Province: Olomoucký Kraj
District (Okres) : Šumperk

Arms (crest) of Bludov (Šumperk)
Official blazon
Czech V červeném poli ze stříbrného trojvrší vyrůstá až po kýty černý lev se zlatou korunkou, jazykem a zbrojí, držící v tlapách stříbrné latinské majuskulní písmeno B.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were registered on May 7, 1992.

The lion issuing out of a triple mountain is taken from the arms of Lord Blud, builder of the castle early in the 13th century, whose family later changed its style to Lords of Zerotín and who owned the castle there until 1945, while the letter B suggests the original form of their name.
