Origin/meaning
The municipality consists of two parts, Bionville and Morlange. The right half shows the arms of the Joly family, 17th century Lords of Bionville.
The keys in the left half are the symbol of St. Peter, patron saint of Morlange. The fleur-de-lys is taken from the arms of the St. Vincent Abbey in Metz, to which the church in Morlange belonged.
