Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on November 8, 1954.

The arms show a canting bend (Bach=stream, brook), the Bierbach, which starts in the local forests, which is indicated by the green colour. The escutcheon shows the image of St. Pirminius, who, in the 8^th century, brought Christianity to the region, and after whom the Pir(mins)bach, later Bierbach is supposedly named.
