Origin/meaning

The oldest known seal of Bad Aibling dates from the middle of the 14th century and shows already St. George, the patron saint of the city, killing the dragon. All later seals and images have shown the same composition, but the size and shape of the different figures has changed considerably during the centuries, as have the colours.

Literature: Stadler, 1964-1971, 8 volumes.
