  • (fr) D'azur au pont de pierre de trois arches, surmonté de la cathédrale saint Ermengol, le tout d'argent, maçonné de sable, posé sur une mer du champ.

Origin/meaning

The local church is devoted to St. Ermegol, Bishop of Urgell (now in Spain) from 1010-1035, who was killed on the bridge in El Pont de Bar. The arms thus show the Urgell cathedral and the bridge.
