Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on August 9, 1972.

The arms show a so-called Schrannentisch (judge's table) and stands for the local court that was held here for over 100 years. The two keys refer to the Principal Abbey of Berchtesgaden, which had many possessions in the area.
