Wappen von Altenstadt (Iller)/Arms (crest) of Altenstadt (Iller)
Official blazon
German

In Silber auf grünem Boden ein grüner Eichbaum mit goldenen Eicheln.

English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were probably adopted by the town in the second half of the 19th century. The oak is a canting symbol (Eiche=oak). At least in 1835 the town did not use any arms, it was said that all archives were abroad. No old seals or pictures existed, so the municipality started to use the oak.
