Official blazon

Shield: Per bend Argent and Azure, on a chief Gules five shells Or.
Crest: That for the regiments and separate battalions of the New Hampshire Army National Guard: From a wreath Argent and Azure, two pine branches saltirewise Proper crossed behind a bundle of five arrows palewise Argent bound together by a ribbon Gules the ends entwining the branches.
Motto: TAKE AND HOLD.

Distinctive Unit Insignia. Description: A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Per bend Argent and Azure, on a chief Gules five shells Or. Attached below the shield is a yellow scroll inscribed “TAKE AND HOLD” in Blue.

Origin/meaning

The service of the former organization, the 195th Infantry Regiment, is indicated by the colors blue and white which represent Infantry. The World War II service as an Artillery unit is symbolized on the red chief. The five shells allude to the battle honors awarded for service in the European Theater.

The arms were originally approved for the 195th Infantry Regiment, New Hampshire National Guard on 30 October 1953. It was redesignated for the 941st Armored Field Artillery Battalion, New Hampshire National Guard on 7 February 1956. The insignia was rescinded on 8 April 1963. It was reinstated and redesignated for the 195th Regiment, New Hampshire Army National Guard, with the blazon and symbolism revised on 20 June 1997. The Distinctive Unit Insignia was originally approved for the 195th Infantry Regiment, New Hampshire National Guard on 30 October 1953.
