BAD GASTEIN

State : Salzburg
District : Sankt Johann im Pongau

Badgaste.jpg

Origin/meaning :
The arms were officially granted on August 2, 1930.

The arms show a water pitcher, which is a symbol for the thermal baths found in the village. The pitcher was also part of the arms of Diepolt von Gastein, who supervised the baths in the 14th century.
