Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The image shows an updated image of the canting arms of Gandesa, that traditionally show a glove ("guant" in Catalan). The arms used now by the local council (but not officially approved by the Generalitat de Catalunya) have the four red pales on gold (the royal arms of Catalonia-Aragon) and the royal crown (that according to the heraldic rules of the Generalitat can't be on the arms of Gandesa; it would be better a mural crown of city).
