Escut caironat: de gules, una torre torrejada d'or oberta acompanyada de 2 creus de Malta (d'argent) una a cada costat. Per timbre, una corona mural de poble.

Origin/meaning

These arms have been officially granted on 26th July 1988.

Canting arms: they show traditionally a towered tower ("torre" in Catalan) and the cross of Malta, the emblem of the Hospitallers. The village developed around an Islamic tower or farmhouse, it was conquered by Ermengol VI of Urgell in mid 12th century, incorporated to the bishopric of Lleida and given to the Hospitaller order of St. John of Jerusalem.
