Origin/meaning

These are the arms of the Lords of Selles, the first known medieval lords of the village.

The State Archives in the early 1990s proposed slightly different arms, see below. The proposal added several bends in base from the arms of the Roisin family, Barons of Rougy and lords of the village in the 18th century.
