Origin/meaning

The well symbolizes the root word "born" of the place name. The green in the background of the fountain represents the woods and meadows surrounding the village. The two red bars in gold are taken from the coat of arms of Bruno I von Isenburg-Braunsberg (before 1179 to before 1210), oldest known lord of the village.

The green wheatear symbolizes the importance of agriculture in the community.
